What Makes OKB Worth Watching?
Beyond its role within the OKX exchange ecosystem, OKB serves as the gas token for X Layer, giving it utility beyond conventional exchange-token benefits.
Its fixed supply also changes the token's supply dynamics. With all 21 million tokens already in circulation, there is no remaining scheduled supply expansion through new minting.
However, limited supply alone does not guarantee price appreciation.

Historical Perspective
OKB reached an all-time high of $257.03 on August 22, 2025. At its current price, the token is approximately 56.5% below that peak.
The important development in its tokenomics came in August 2025, when OKX completed a major supply reduction, burning approximately 65.26 million OKB from historical repurchases and treasury reserves.
Following the operation, the total supply was fixed at 21 million tokens, with the smart contract upgraded to remove minting functionality.
