DOSE is a Polygon project launched by OliveX, a publicly listed fitness company aiming to build a gamified fitness ecosystem where players earn cryptocurrency and NFTs by completing workouts like running, cycling and pushups. DOSE is the name and ticker symbol of OliveX fitness metaverse's native ERC-20 token.
The project aims to encourage people to develop a healthy lifestyle through immersive story games that reward players with NFTs and DOSE tokens upon completing adventures, tasks and missions.
OliveX has released several games that use DOSE - Dustland Runner, Dustland Rider and 22Pushups. Dustland Runner is the world's first proof-of-workout audio running game based on the popular mobile fitness game Zombies, Run!. Dustland Rider is a cycling game that combines Sol Cycling and DOSE token rewards. Lastly, 22 Pushups is a game that challenges players to do pushups for 22 consecutive days.
DOSE is an ERC-20 token with a total supply capped at 5 billion. No amount of DOSE tokens will be taken out of circulation or added in the future.
Most tokens are reserved for DOSE's fitness games - 15% for Dustland Runner, 10% for Dustland Rider, 10% for 22 Pushups and 20% for gameplay rewards. Gameplay rewards distributed to players will gradually decrease over time, so token reserves will not run out.
The remaining tokens are spread across company reserves, sales and liquidity pools. For instance, 14% went to private sales amounting to $4.2 million, 10% was kept for adding liquidity to crypto exchanges and 10% was reserved for the team and advisors, to name a few.
DOSE charts primarily depend on the number of active players in the OliveX fitness metaverse. Demand for DOSE is driven through gameplay tokenomics and players' desire to advance further in the game.
