GM 🧃 I've been doing some deep research for the past days on next steps for $JUICY. This new beta version () is going to be really sick, and I've been considering a bunch of directions we could take it. One of the reasons I've been considering @base is because I think that they are actually going to be onboarding consumers fairly aggressively - pretty clear actually with the release of @baseapp. However, after tons of playing around and researching things, I'm not sure deploying the whole payments infrastructure there is needed or even makes sense. Here's where my head is currently, assuming I can figure out how to make all of this work. 1. Keep everything on @avax for simplicity 2. Switch to the new @coinbase onramp feature for fiat onboarding $USDC via privy From what I can tell, this is basically as easy as credit card onramps. They may require KYC to use it, but I'm not 100% sure yet. 3. Set up sponsored gas so no user has to pay for transactions 4. Migrate all in-app payments to be $USDC (stakers start earning dollars, creators don't hold volatile assets) Essentially you will have people "loading" their accounts with dollars they can spend, and whatever chain they are on (or none at all) won't matter. I *DO* still think that marketing to the @base ecosystem, and honestly crypto at large is a good move. I am going to be working on hooking up to Farcaster with SFW content (at least) that gets created on $JUICY. afaik this means that anything posted on $JUICY will be broadcast to apps like the new @baseapp and others that integrate farcaster content. I'm still in research mode, but this seems like a better approach - assuming I understand everything correctly. My strong preference is to keep things as crypto-native as possible, and Coinbase is going to be the champion for making native crypto onramping the easiest IMO. All of this said, ultimately the goal is to expand this to be able to target retail consumers without any respect to crypto, and if I'm understanding things correctly, we may be very close to that reality.
