I just listened to the latest episode of the podcast featuring @humafinance's two co-founders interviewed by @bidclubio, and I jotted down some key data:
/ Huma's current TAL (Total Active Liquidity) is at 100M;
/ The annualized business revenue is about 11%;
/ The annualized financing cost is about 4%, as currently, Classic Mode deposits account for about 40%, with an APY of 10.5%, while Maxi Mode deposits have no interest cost;
/ Therefore, the annualized interest margin income is about 7%, so the current annual revenue for the Huma protocol is 7M;
/ The current Burn Rate, after considering one-time expenses like listing fees, is about 250-300K per month, roughly estimating that half of the 7M revenue is burned, and half goes into the treasury;
/ The above 7M revenue only captures the value of the Huma Protocol and does not include the income from @arf_one;
/ The team plans to expand TAL to 500M by the end of 2026;
/ As TAL scales up, the interest margin income is expected to decrease from 7% to 5%, with the protocol's net income projected to be 20M annually. This portion of income will further be used for business growth or $HUMA token buybacks.
This episode of the podcast is of high quality, and I recommend my friends to listen. Attention is the most scarce resource; by sticking to deep learning, there will always be gains.
