I just resigned from a secure, well-paying role as Director of People & Talent at Sentient Foundation.
This wasn’t an easy decision.
Let me rewind a bit.
At Birch & James Associates, I founded London’s first AI-specialist recruitment agency. We grew a team of 20+ people over the years, many of whom got their first jobs, mortgages, or leadership roles through that experience. For seven years, I was often the lowest-paid in the company, prioritising team culture and rewards over my own paychecks. That came at a cost. It also led me to some hard but important conversations with the one person who has never stopped believing in me — my wife. Your unwavering support, especially through my ADHD-fueled career pivots, means the world.
So I took the leap to @Meta , where I learned what best-in-class process and structure looks like. But big tech wasn’t for me. I craved the chaos, speed, and purpose of startups. Already dabbling (badly) in crypto trading, I jumped head-first into the Web3 world.
At @Scroll_ZKP , working with @sandyzkp gave me the freedom to become truly crypto-native. I scaled the team from 14 to 60+ in under a year, fell in love with the @ethereum ecosystem, and understood what impact recruiting at the protocol layer could look like.
Next, I joined the @arbitrum Foundation. This was special. Helping scale the org from 7 to 40 with brilliant humans like @stonecoldpat0 , @ad_or11 . @nina_rong , Andy and @AnujaKhatri3 healed a deep-rooted imposter syndrome I didn’t know I still carried. Arbitrum felt like home. It remains the best place I’ve worked outside of entrepreneurship — and the one that got away.
Then came @SentientAGI , where I had a real seat at the leadership table. I worked on PMF, org design, GTM strategy, and more. @sandeepnailwal , @hstyagi , @0xsachi , and especially @autistGPT you taught me a lot. Working with my brother @autistGPT has been one of the greatest privileges of my career.
I’ve also been lucky to advise some incredible teams along the way — @m0foundation , @puffer_finance @SOCKETProtocol @fuel_network — and most recently, I made my first angel investment in @0xMiden
This whole thing has been the longest, most rewarding professional experiment of my life. A constant internal tug-of-war, trying to answer the question:
What do I really want to do with my life?
After all this — I’m thrilled to be reuniting with Julian to build something we’ve both always believed in ... the world’s leading crypto recruitment agency.
So if you are blockchain project looking for a partner thats been in the trenches and can give you access to top talent, I woud love to speak with you.
I am also going to be buidling my own team straight away! DM if you are interesting in the positions below - Fully Remote.
