I just listened to a new episode of @bidclubio interview with @humafinance two co-creators of the podcast, and I memorised some core data:
/ Huma's current TAL (Total Active Liquidity) is in 100M;
/ Annualized revenue of about 11%;
/ The annualised financing cost is about 4%, because the current Classic Mode deposit accounts for about 40%, and the APY is 10.5%, while the Maxi Mode deposit has no interest cost;
/ In summary, the interest margin income is about 7% per annum, so the current annual income of the Huma agreement is 7M;
/ At present, the Burn Rate is at 250-300K per month after taking into account one-time expenses such as listing fees, and it can be roughly estimated that half of 7M income is burned and half goes into the treasury;
/ The above 7M revenue is only the value capture of Huma Protocol and does not include the revenue of @arf_one;
/ The team plans to expand the TAL to 26M by the end of 500;
/ As TAL scales up, spread income is expected to be reduced from 7% to 5%, with negotiated net income estimated at 20M per annum at that time. This portion of the revenue is further used for business growth or $HUMA token buybacks.
This podcast is of high quality and I recommend listening to it for my friends. Attention is the scarcest resource, and sticking to deep learning will always pay off.
