자, 업비트 상장한 '엑셀라($AXL)'가 뭐냐?
Axelar는 다양한 블록체인을 서로 연결해 자산과 메시지를 안전하게 전송할 수 있도록 지원하는 블록체인 간 인프라(크로스체인).
XRP에 대해서 공부 좀 한 사람들(안했을 거 암)은 알텐데, XRP도 금융기관 간 송금이나 결제 지시를 위한 ISO 20022 기반의 전산용 메시지를 포함하게 되어있음. (ex, 입금자 누구, 금액 얼마, 송금 일시 언제 그런 것들)
그럼 Axelar가 보내는 '메시지란 무엇이냐?' Smart contract를 실행시키는 메시지를 말함
"내가 이거 빠노한테 보낼 건데, 송금 완료되면 이 금액으로 최대한 NFT를 구매해줘." or "1 eth을 joshiker 지갑에 송금 완료되면 bera로 스왑해서 defi 예치해줘" 같은 "똑똑한 계약"을 담은 메시징을 하는 기술.
그런데 아시다시피 이더리움은 Solidity로, 솔라나는 Rust로, 비트코인과 XRP는 C++로, 알고랜드는 Golang, 앱토스와 수이는 Move 등등...
블록체인은 서로 언어와 구조로 개발되어 있슴
그래서 엑셀라는 JSON 형태의 중립적인 메시지를 생성하고, 각 체인에 배포되어 있는 로컬 인터프리터가 이를 해석해서 작동시킵니다.
제 생각에 이건 블록체인 금융 문맹들에게 편의성을 제공해주는 기술이자, 단순 자산만을 이동하는 것이 아니라 AI 시대, 멀티 블록체인 시대에서 필수적으로 경제가 굴러가게하는 유동성을 만들어주는(공급이 아니라) 역할이 될 것 같다는 생각.
결국 자연어로 메시지를 날리면 구동을 하는 단계의 초석이지 않나 싶음.
