Breaking: Iranian Crypto Exchange Nobitex Reportedly Hacked by Israeli Group
On June 18, on-chain investigator @zachxbt reported that Iranian crypto exchange @nobitexmarket may have been hacked, with over $81.7 million in suspicious outflows identified across Tron, Bitcoin, DOGE Chain, and various EVM chains. Multiple wallets linked to Nobitex have been affected.
According to @OnchainLens , the attack was allegedly carried out by Gonjeshke Darande, a hacker group suspected to be affiliated with Israel. The group has claimed responsibility and threatened to leak Nobitex’s source code and internal network data within the next 24 hours — putting all user assets at risk.
🕵️♂️ Who is Gonjeshke Darande?
Meaning “Predatory Sparrow” in Persian, the group is notorious for cyberattacks on critical Iranian infrastructure — including gas stations, steel firms, and major banks like Bank Sepah. Though it claims to be independent, its high-level tactics and consistent focus on Iranian targets suggest potential ties to Israeli intelligence, possibly Unit 8200. The Israeli government has never officially acknowledged any link.
This incident adds a geopolitical layer to crypto security risks — and Nobitex users may face escalating danger if the leaked data is published.
