When longs pile into resistance, they risk getting blown out. When shorts pile into support, they risk getting blown out
This is literally just how markets function
There is no great conspiracy, positioning just drives the market and if eye-watering size enters the market publicly in a less-than-ideal spot, a vulnerable spot, the market often punishes the positioning. Especially in a rangebound market
It is a war, if you show vulnerability, you may get stricken down by design
