🇺🇸 TEXAS MAN SUES WHATABURGER FOR $1M OVER ROGUE ONIONS
Serial fast-food litigant Demery Wilson demands up to $1 million after unwanted onions allegedly triggered allergic reaction.
Wilson claims a July 2024 visit to Whataburger resulted in medical treatment after the restaurant ignored his no-onion request.
Whataburger has filed court documents demanding "strict proof" of his claims.
Translation: "Show us the receipts, onion boy."
Whataburger Statement:
"[Whataburger] denies it knew or should have known that any product purchased by [Wilson] at the restaurant in question was in a defective or unreasonably dangerous condition at the time [the items] were allegedly purchased."
The lawsuit alleges Whataburger is "strictly liable for manufacturing defective and unreasonably dangerous food."
This isn't Wilson's first rodeo—he filed an identical lawsuit against Sonic in 2024 over (surprise!) unwanted onions.
The man has found his niche in the legal system, and it's layered like an onion.
