Tether has just surpassed Germany in terms of the size of US bond holdings and ranks 19th globally compared to other countries. Tether currently holds more than $120 billion compared to Germany (about 111 billion).
The U.S. is looking to narrow its creditors to companies and businesses they can control, including Tether. At first glance, this may be bad news, but if we look at it from another perspective, we can see that Tether is making a lot of profit because they are one of the largest holders of long-term US bonds.
