I love Fluid’s community! 🌊🌊🌊
it's unclear to me how people are still paying so little attention to @0xfluid and all its advantages compared to other dexes, lending platforms, looping protocols or whatever
every feature fluid rolls out turns out more efficient and well-executed than similar ones on other platforms, and i'm not even talking about innovative features like smart collateral and smart debt here
yes, there are some features available only in protocols like @eulerfinance or @MorphoLabs, like lending your pt from @pendle_fi as collateral and borrowing against it, but for those who know how fluid’s team manages risks, it's clear that all those "exceptional" features will be on fluid sooner or later
but when it comes to strategies like lending your btc, borrowing stables and deploying them elsewhere, or just lending your assets to earn passive yield, i have no idea why people are choosing @aave, @sparkdotfi, @compoundfinance etc. except for their reputation which fluid also has (0 hacks since 2017, at least 4 audits from @MixBytes, @statemindio and others)
i think there are three main reasons for that: lack of information, laziness, and doubts
1. people can't use the product if they don't know it exists
2. laziness might be caused by the fact that it takes some thinking to understand how fluid works, which isn’t easy and can often be postponed or dismissed altogether
3. doubts come in when someone seems to understand everything but still feels hesitant, because they just can't believe a defi app can be that effective and start to suspect there's some kind of catch
if you're in the same boat as me, let's think about how we can promote fluid. and if you're new and not familiar with fluid yet, i strongly recommend you check it out
to those who fall into the second category, i suggest taking another look at fluid. it's definitely worth it
a few days ago, dex v2 was announced. only yesterday was i able to give it a proper read and scrutinize all the details
to be honest, i knew most of the features that were going to be added with the update, but even so, i found a few that genuinely surprised me: the opportunity to deploy whatever markets you want; combining range order collaterals with normal ones and the same goes for borrowing; the ability to earn lending apr on limit orders while they're waiting to be filled etc.
basically, users will be able to customize their strategies however they want and it's beautiful. that's how permissionless platforms should work
as for me, i'm a regular user of fluid. i use it as a lending platform, a dex, and a swap tool because it simply works better. i also have a solid bag of $fluid because i believe in a future where people rely on genuinely effective web3 platforms as fundamental tools for managing their finances, and fluid is already a strong contender for that role
