1/ Shutting down teams? Quiet timelines? Waiting for better time?
Not on Starknet: Bitcoin, decentralization, infra, UX, appchains, AI agents... we build no matter the market conditions.
Here’s everything Starknet shipped in Q1 2025, and what’s coming next 🧵

2/ Starknet v0.13.5 went live on Mainnet, bringing:
- Drastically lower gas fees
- Better DevX
- Key upgrades paving the way for the highly anticipated v0.14.0 (coming Q2) featuring Stwo, Mempool, and Fee Market

5/ And this stack will soon be fully decentralized.
Staking Phase 1 was a success, now comes Phase 2, introducing Block Attestations and Dynamic Commissions.
Already live on testnet, landing on Mainnet this quarter.
6/ Beyond staking, Starknet is also:
- Powered by a quantum-resistant proving system
- Open-sourcing everything
- The only Rollup in production with no trusted setup
- Stage 1 Rollup soon
- Offering the most decentralized L2 stack
More coming:

7/ After months of research, and BD, the Starknet ecosystem is finally ready to accelerate and roll out a wide range of Bitcoin-powered use cases on Starknet.
Here’s the full plan to make Starknet a Bitcoin execution layer (alongside Ethereum):
8/ Here are the Bitcoin use cases shipped during Q1 (since this announcement):
- Cross chain swaps BTC <> STRK via @XverseApp:
- BTC Lightning payments via @myBraavos mobile:
- Tipping on Nostr with STRK:
- Privately fund a Cashu wallet using Starknet:
9/ And here’s a non-exhaustive list of what’s coming next:
- Bitcoin staking
- Rune & BTC-native assets trading on Starknet
- Plenty of new Bitcoin apps
- iBTC:
- Bitcoin incentive program:
10/ To double down on Bitcoin, @StarkWareLtd also brought in top OGs:
- @danheld, advisor:
- @UHaboeck, Circle Stark researcher:
- @liujackc, Bitcoin advocate:
And is still hiring:
👋 Yosh, Bitcoiners!
We created a Bitcoin exploration team in @StarkWareLtd.
I am looking for Bitcoiners to join us in this team to explore Bitcoin (and symbiotic ecosystems: Lightning Network, Cashu, Nostr) x STARKs use cases.
Right now we have 2 open positions in this team. Both require technical skills and deep understanding of Bitcoin.
- 1 is pure dev position, to build with us exploration projects showcasing usage of STARKs proofs for Bitcoin ecosystem.
- 1 is for a team lead position and require management skills in addition to the tech skills, ability to handle a team of about 5 devs.
If you are up for the challenge and you think you can be a good fit, hit me up. Bitcoiners, please tag people who you think could be a good fit and could be interested.
Sharing some example of Bitcoin related projects we are currently working on to give you a more concrete idea of what it would look like 👇
11/ 4 major regional & vertical programs launched in Q1:
- $4M fund for African founders
- $2M Bitcoin/APAC seed fund for Bitcoin app builders
- LATAM x Espacio Cripto partnership for top founders in Latin America
- Global Impact Accelerator with @uprightvc for startup builders
Goal? Bring high-quality use cases & apps to Starknet.

14/ Ekubo shipping hard:
- Limit Orders, integrated into AVNU & Fibrous:
- Privacy Pools (Tornado-style with regulatory compliance), open source:
- Multihook support (16 vs 1 previously):
- Expanding to Ethereum and EVM chains, while governance and most of its token liquidity stay on Starknet:
Announcing Multihook on @Starknet for Ekubo 📢
@EkuboProtocol's extension system is powerful, but it was limited to one extension per pool.
We built a Multihook to change that.
Now, multiple extensions can be added to a single pool, making development more modular and flexible.
What this enables:
- Run multiple extensions in a single pool instead of being limited to one.
- Set execution order for different lifecycle methods.
- Enable/disable specific methods within an extension for better control.
- Experiment and upgrade without redeploying a new pool.
For Cairo devs building on Ekubo, this means:
1. Easier experimentation with different types of hooks.
2. Ability to swap out hooks dynamically.
3. More flexibility to create modular, customizable apps.
Multihook supports up to 16 extensions, opening up more ways to fine-tune liquidity strategies.
This is our first step in bringing A51 to Starknet, with deeper LP customization coming through A51 Carbon.
Shoutout to @anton_gulak (we took inspiration from his multihook and built this version for Cairo and Ekubo).

15/ @argentHQ shipping hard too with powerful features that level up both user and developer experience on Starknet:
- Metal Card; a sleek crypto debit card with full self-custody, no hidden fees, cashback, and usable anywhere Mastercard is accepted:
- Invisible wallet SDK; including smart accounts, session keys, and gasless transactions:
- AVNU’s Paymaster integration into the wallet, enabling users to pay gas fees in over 10 different tokens:
Argent ships, users and devs win.
16/ New stablecoin, $15M liquidity & a new curator, all on @vesuxyz.
Relend launched its rUSDC stablecoin on Starknet and added $15M liquidity:
Alterscope joined Vesu as curator, bringing new lending/borrowing pools:
17/ Layer Akira v2 and Remus DEX integrated into @avnu_fi.
As such, AVNU now sources liquidity from AMMs, CLOB DEXs, and professional market makers.
Execution just got better for everyone.
18/ AI agents going wild on SN:
- Anyone can build one:
- Agents can soon coordinate together:
- zkML agent by Haiko x Giza:
- Eliza Hackathon winners: &
