Moeda is a project launched in 2017 at the United Nations hackathon (that focused on the SDGs), with a goal to build a set of financing tools for entrepreneurs.
Through a transparent blockchain infrastructure, contributions can be made by anyone to any project in the world. By eliminating traditional financial barriers, the project aims to support small companies and cooperatives and help them create a way to sustain themselves and the community.
Its long-term vision is to build a "transparent, low-cost global network" like Paypal and Alipay for the "underbanked people all over the globe".
MDA tokens are ERC-20 tokens used for payments in the Moeda ecosystem. On the financing side, users can use MDA tokens to fund projects of their choice.
