LEASH is one of the three ERC-20 tokens comprising the Ethereum-based Shiba Inu ecosystem. Contrasting SHIB token, which has an enormous total supply of 1 quadrillion, LEASH is much more limited at just over 107,000 tokens. Staking and providing LEASH liquidity — known respectively as "burying" and "digging" in SHIB lingo — rewards ecosystem participants with BONE tokens, which serve as the Shiba Inu platform's governance token.
In addition to BONE tokens, those contributing liquidity to ShibaSwap's relevant LEASH liquidity pools earn rewards in Wrapped Bitcoin and USDC. To limit selling pressure, a percentage of all rewards are subject to a lockup period in which they cannot be sold. Like other memecoins, the community is at the heart of the SHIB ecosystem. Thus, major exchange wallets appear on a so-called "GRRR List" and are excluded from rewards.
