The episode illustrates how quickly privacy-coin momentum can overwhelm leveraged positions. ZEC’s move has been supported by renewed attention to the NU7 upgrade, strong trading volume and possible short-covering. However, a short squeeze is not the same as fundamental demand. Once forced buying ends, price can become vulnerable to profit-taking. My view is that the most important signal now is whether spot buyers continue accumulating after leverage has been removed.
