Wall Street wants tokenization, just not at the cost of giving up control.
JPMorgan joining DTCC while opposing independently tokenized shares captures the tension perfectly. The industry is embracing blockchain, but ownership of the infrastructure, custody and settlement still matters enormously.
This leaves room for alternatives like ERC-3643, where compliance is built directly into the token rather than relying entirely on traditional intermediaries.
