$ENS ’s Oct 11 draft proposal would stop new .eth registrations on the old registrar, but renewals keep running there with no deadline. In H1 2026, per a Dune query posted to ENS governance, registrations earned 694 ETH and renewals 631 ETH. So nearly half of .eth revenue sits in the flow the upgrade leaves alone. And if a v1 name lapses, it can only be re-registered on v2. How fast names lapse is the number I’d track.
